Terberg Techniek has proudly delivered a second Wide-Spread Volvo truck to Dijkshoorn Bleiswijk.
Dijkshoorn Bleiswijk received the first Volvo 8x4 WS truck in 2011, Over 14 years later, Dijkshoorn receives the successor to this through Volvo Truck Center Zoetermeer. This repeated delivery underlines the confidence in Terberg Techniek's Wide-Spread adaptation of the Volvo chassis. Our technical expertise and customer-oriented approach ensure that we can always offer the best solutions.
The driven tandem chassis was modified by Terberg to an axle distance of 1,820 mm and fitted with double-acting hydraulic spring cylinders, ensuring high stability.
The last axle has also been made steerable; from 0-25 km/h, the axle will fully steer the theoretical calculated angle, between 25-40 km/h, the calculated steered angle is proportionally reduced to finally not steer at all at speeds above 40 km/h.
The vehicle is equipped with level transverse control and transverse stabilisation, where the outgoing cylinder stroke can be blocked (for high tipping stability).
The vehicle is fitted with a VDL 30-tonne hooklift installation, mounted by Bevako. In addition, a gearbox has been fitted in the chassis so that the hydarulic pump for the hooklift system operates clutch-independent, the hooklift system can now be operated from a moving vehicle.
